Auto Repair

Auto repair, diagnosed before it's quoted, then fixed once.

Engine diagnostics, brakes, alignment, and everything that can strand a car, handled by ASE certified technicians at 722 Southwest Blvd, with a same day estimate and a one year warranty on the parts and the labor.

Chapter 01

Diagnose before we quote

A check engine light that flickers on for a second and disappears is the kind of thing most drivers wait out until it starts happening every morning. The first step at Boulevard Tire & Service is never a guess: a technician plugs into the vehicle's own computer, pulls the actual stored codes, and road tests the car before anyone says what it needs. A misfire code that turns out to be a bad coil pack costs a fraction of what a transmission rebuild would, but only if it gets caught at the coil pack stage instead of after months of driving on it.

That diagnosis is what the same day estimate is built on. The shop on Southwest Boulevard writes the number after the car has actually been looked at, not before, so the figure on the page is for the real problem rather than a placeholder that changes once the hood is up. Whatever gets replaced, from a sensor to a starter, carries a one year warranty on parts and labor, so a repair that fails inside that year gets made right without a second bill.

Stopping and steering, the two we never rush

A car that pulls to one side under braking, or a steering wheel that sits crooked on a straight stretch of road, is usually two different problems wearing the same symptom. Brake repairs get the rotors, pads and calipers checked for uneven wear first, since a warped rotor on one side pulls a car almost exactly like a bad alignment does. Once the brakes are ruled in or out, the car goes on the alignment rack, where the actual camber, caster and toe numbers get measured and corrected instead of eyeballed.

Four wheel drive vehicles add a layer most general shops skip past: the front and rear axles, the transfer case and the hubs all have to agree, or a truck that feels fine in two wheel drive will shudder or bind the moment four wheel drive engages. Left alone, a car pulling right or a truck fighting itself in 4WD does not settle down on its own. It wears the tires unevenly and loads the steering and suspension system that was never built to carry the extra strain, turning what should have been a brake job or an alignment into a suspension rebuild.

Chapter 03

The systems that strand you

A car that cranks a little slower every morning before it finally starts is the starting, charging and battery system giving notice before it actually quits. That whole system gets tested together at Boulevard Tire, because a battery that tests weak can be masking an alternator that is undercharging it, and replacing the battery alone just buys a few more weeks before the same call comes in from the side of the road.

The cooling system, and the belts and hoses that run it, tend to fail on their own schedule too, usually a slow coolant leak or a belt that starts squealing before it snaps. A cracked hose or a worn belt left in place does not stay a small problem. It turns into an engine that overheats on the highway, and an overheated engine can warp a head gasket in less time than it takes to find a place to pull over. Electrical and electronic system faults, from a short in the wiring to a failing module, get traced the same way as the engine light: wired in and read, rather than swapped part by part until something happens to work.

What the warranty actually covers

Every repair done at Boulevard Tire & Service, whether it's a battery, a set of brake pads, or a full alignment job, carries a one year warranty covering both the parts and the labor. That is the shop's own guarantee on its own work, backed by the same technicians who did the repair the first time, not a manufacturer's claim routed through a mail-in form.

If the same repair fails inside that year, for the same reason it was fixed the first time, it gets made right at 722 Southwest Blvd without a second invoice. It is part of why the estimate gets written after the diagnosis rather than before it. Eric Borisouth and the technicians on the floor are the ones who stand behind the work if a question about it ever comes up again.
